The Black Caps treated the country to an exhilarating ride during the recent Cricket World Cup. They chose what they saw as their best path to success, which meant swinging like a bat out of hell (no pun intended) and fielding like aggressive demons.
Why was the chosen path perceived as their best – it certainly felt risky?
The Black Caps identified their goal, and then chose a strategy that gave them their best chance of success. They then defined risk as anything that got in the way of them executing on the strategy.
